IRGC accomplishes mission to accommodate quake-hit villagers in Western Iran

Tasnim The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has completed its mission to provide quake-hit people in nearly 2000 villages in the western province of Kermanshah with temporary housing units.

The Khatam al-Anbia Construction Base, a conglomerate belonging to the IRGC, had pledged to construct 8,000 Conex boxes to be used as temporary housing units for the quake-stricken villagers.

The construction base had pledged to build the Conex boxes within a period of 45 days but it completed the mission in 40 days, providing 8,100 temporary housing units in 1982 villages.

IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari has visited the affected areas in Kermanshah several times to assess the process of the IRGCs relief operations in the province.

On November 12, Kermanshah was hit by a major 7.3-magnitude quake that killed 620 people.

In order to expedite reconstruction activities, the Iranian Army and IRGC forces have been working hand in hand in the province.
