MNA�The representatives from 11 countries attending at the Palestine Committee of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUOIC), denounced Trump�s decision to move US embassy.

�Palestine and Islamic sanctities are not temporary or accidental issues for Jordan, but they are always atop of our priorities,� said a Jordanian MP on Monday.

Haya al-Qaralleh made the remarks on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUOIC) underway in Tehran.

�Jorden is the closest country to Palestine and accordingly Jordan and Palestine have always enjoyed strong relations,� asserted the Jordanian law-maker.

Representative from Algeria was MP Adjissa Youcef who also condemned Trump�s decision to re-locate US embassy to al-Quds.

�All of us know that Palestine without al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque is meaningless and it is up to Arab and Muslim nations to stand against this decision of US,� reiterate the Algerian legislator.

�Islamic and Arabic nations should confront this ignorant decision of US with an appropriate measure,� stressed the Algerian MP.

An MP from Chad told the conference that the main obligation of Muslim countries is to resolutely denounce the US unfair decision about al-Quds which is clearly in contract with UN resolutions. He added that the move can spark more tension in the region.

Nurhayati Ali Assegaf is representing Indonesia in the meeting. She also called for immediate mobilization of efforts in reaction to Trump�s order to move US embassy to al-Quds.

�We should not ignore the US measure,� said the Indonesian MP. �We have convened here to unanimously reject US decision and we have to take long and resolute steps,� she noted.

PUOIC convened an extraordinary meeting on Monday in Tehran where parliamentary delegations from 11 Islamic countries, including Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Morocco, Turkey, and Senegal took part in the gathering, held to discuss the latest developments concerning Palestine.

Iran, Iraq and Mali are attending the event at the level of parliament speakers.

The meeting mainly focused on a recent decision taken by US President Donald Trump to declare al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of the Israeli regime.

Trump made the decision despite warnings from around the world that the measure risks triggering a fresh wave of violence in the Middle East.
