Iranian army’s massive medical drills kicks off in Southeast province

Tasnim – The Iranian Army’s forces began to stage a large-scale medical exercises in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan on Monday, a senior commander of the army announced.

The drill, codenamed “Muhammad Rasulullah” (Muhammad, the Messenger of God), began this morning in five parts of Sistan and Balouchestan conveying the message of “affection”, Commander of the Army’s Department of Health General Jalil Rajabi told reporters in a press conference on Monday.

He further emphasized that the Department of Health has deployed its forces and field hospitals to the war game sites to provide healthcare services as they have done so recently in the quake-hit areas in the western province of Kermanshah.

The army has staged the drills in line with efforts to provide services for the Iranian people and assist them if needed, the commander noted.

The Iranian armed forces hold routine military drills throughout the year.

Back in December 2016, the Army Ground Force staged “Muhammad Rasulullah-4” war game, along the coasts of Makran, by the Sea of Oman.

Covering an area of more than 220,000 square kilometers southeast of Iran, the war game took place in three main stages.
