American Herald Tribune | Catherine Shakdam: Its official Americas star is waning so much so in fact that its closest allies have caught on to it. Needless to say that they are not amused by such fall from grace if we consider that such parties political future, and may I dare say, political survival, very much depends on Washingtons ability to generate traction as a superpower.

If I was to peer into the future, I would align my analysis to that formulated byAyatollah Ali Khamenei back in February when at a conference on Palestine, he warned that Tyranny was literally running out of time, and room to stretch its tentacles.

But there is more to the story than the fall of yet another empire. For every vacuum, for every void that was ever created, the laws of physics have demanded that another should occupy such space - thus balancing the equation of power.

As America is walking itself through the door, courtesy of one ever-so gracious President Donald Trump, another power has asserted itself a titan - meet the Islamic Republic of Iran and the new political rationale its leadership is formulating.

Allow me here to clarify a crucial point: Iran, contrary to popular belief - or I should say contrary to the systematic demonisation it has suffered since 1979, is not interested in rising yet another dictatorship over the region. Tehran rather would like to enact those very principles it anchored itself in back in 1979.

Rather than subdue, or buy out, Iran ambitions to empower nations through the inception of a newsystem of regional governance based on the principles of political self-determination and territorial sovereignty.

It is of course such ambition that has positioned Tehran in a crash course against Zionist Tel Aviv.

For all its talks on democratic empowerment and furious cries for military interventionism in the name of counterterrorism readers must have by now come to terms with the true nature of US imperialism, and by extension that of Zionism - that devoluted and abominable form of unfettered capitalism turned feral for a lack of blood to satiate its thirst on

Time for a change of the guards!

But America is too big to fail you may argue A few years ago I might have agreed with you and conceded that indeed Americas imperial complex: the breadth of its reach and the strength of its alliances made it a Goliath among men, unbreakable in its tyranny.

As it were David had a slingshot few ever so coming!

Analogies aside, it is Americas arrogance we will soon tell future generations which broke that empires back, and in a grand unravelling freed an entire region from the clutches of Zionism.

Interestingly enough the proverbial smoking gun came by way of a leading Syrian opposition figure, who, only recently warned that out of a lack of foresight America was losing the Greater Middle Eastern region to Iran.

How so? Quite simply greed coupled with ignorance and a sprinkle of egotistical arrogance. Washington never once imagined that anyone would oppose its regime-change policies, let alone a coalition of powers united in their desire to stand free in their sovereignty.

An independent Middle East means only one thing for Zionist Israel: catastrophe.

Western strategy in Syria leads in one direction an Iranian takeover, Kamal al-Lubanitold Israeli newspaperMakor Rishonlast Friday.

A very telling admission if you ask me. Now of course Mr. al-Lubani has a very end-of-the-world aura about him when he speaks of such Iranian takeover of the Middle East, but in a manner of speaking his assessment is on point although I would personally use the word: liberation instead of takeover, but then again Im sitting on a very different shore from that of Mr. al-Lubani.

But Irans growing traction is not what is most pertinent here. If anyone has been truly following developments in the Mideast, then Tehrans standing comes hardly as a surprise, and more like a confirmation of the obvious.

From Lebanon to Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen, Qatar and some extent Turkey, Irans influence has grown exponentially - a rising sun to a new geopolitical system.

The real revelation lies in Mr. al-Lubanis assessment of this tug of war in between warring parties in the region, and the nature of their dispute. He notes: The old-fashioned notion that we are witnessing a religious war of Sunni against Shia Muslims is a mistake.

I agree!

Religion was never the issue ailing the Middle East, merely a weapon of war used by tyrants to sow discord for the sake of their own advancement.

While I reject Mr. al-Lubanis allegations that Tehrans success is underpinned by its ability and willingness to cultivate relations with Wahhabi-inspired radicals to consolidate its regional ambitions, I will posit that it has been Irans determination to unite under a common denominator - national sovereignty and independence which has allowed the Islamic Republic to defeat imperialism at its own game.

The only superpower to have remained true to its governing principles Iran is winning this silent political war on account it refused to compromise its identity.
