Zarif calls Iran deal 'nonnegotiable' global achievement

IRNA Iran's Foreign Minister called on all parties involved in the Iran nuclear deal to stay committed to the international agreement, saying the deal, as a global achievement, is not renegotiable.

Mohammad Javad Zarif asked all parties, after the meeting of the Joint Commission of the Iran nuclear deal at the UN Headquarters in New York on Wednesday, to abide by the deal and implement it fully.

Elaborating on the meeting of the JCPOA joint commission, Zarif added that the Iranian party talked about the violation of the agreement by the Americans, referring to the landmark accord, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

We also raised the issue of inappropriate comments by US officials regarding the implementation of the July 2015 nuclear deal.

Iran's top diplomat stressed all parties involved in the JCPOA to try to implement the deal, saying that the world community considers accord as a multilateral deal and not a bilateral one.

Zarif said the US has failed to fulfill its commitments regarding the nuclear deal.

The US president's remarks at the 72nd session of United Nations General Assembly showed that the White House is distant from the realities of the international community, said Zarif.
