IRNA – US President Donald Trump’s policies are a series of unsteady policies that have caused the world difficulties, a senior Iranian official said on Monday.
‘No doubt that the US has attempted to deny Iran from its due benefits under the nuclear deal by being not committed to the deal,’ Bahram Qasemi said in his weekly press conference.
‘However, it has not gained much success in doing so,’ Qasemi added.
Iran and the major world powers, including the US, made a nuclear deal in 2015, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Under the deal Iran has accepted to curb its nuclear activities in return of the sanctions lift.
Despite frequent reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirming Iran’s commitment to the deal, Trump administration has repeatedly threatened that it would kill the agreement.
‘The fluctuations (of the US policies) are not specific to the JCPOA,’ he said, saying that the changing policies of Trump’s administration have caused the world many difficulties.
