president.ir- President Rouhani described employment the most important issue for the people and said: "Reforming the banking system, pension funds, lack of balance in the budget, the issue of water and environment are other issues that must be settled in the coming four years".

Speaking in the meeting of the 12th Administration's cabinet with the Supreme Leader on Saturday, Dr Rouhani added: "The 12th Administration's first goal is to resolve the issue of unemployment and we will do our utmost to created more than 900,000 jobs a year".

He also said that the realisation of the 8% growth, fighting poverty and realising social justice were the administration's other goals, adding: "To reach 8% growth, we need $204bn new investment. To reach this goal, the administration's budget is not enough and the banking system, the capital market, the National Development Fund, investment by the private sector and foreign investment must help us".

"The 12th Administration is attempting to keep inflation in a one-digit figure. Last year was an exceptional year for the economy of the country, as we saw double-digit economic growth and Iran's economic growth in the first world".

Stressing the need to make the economy and banking system more people-friendly, he said: "If we want to reach this goal, the banking interests must reduce and ministries and banks refrain from doing business".

We have promised people to eradicate poverty by the end of the 12th Administration's term of office, said Rouhani.

Describing "modernisation and rebuilding of industries", "development of the knowledge-based economy" and "relying on non-oil revenues" as other programmes of the 12th Administration, he said: "The 12th Administration is aware of the issues more than before and everybody must help the administration resolve these issues".

At the end of the meeting, the noon and afternoon prayers were said led by the Supreme Leader.
