Netanyahu: Issue of Iran's presence in Syria to be on agenda of talks with Putin



Sputnik - Benjamin Netanyahu said he planned to discuss Iran's attempts to maintain military presence in Syria with Vladimir Putin.




MOSCOW (Sputnik) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he planned todiscuss Iran's attempts tomaintain military presence inSyria atthe upcoming meeting withRussian President Vladimir Putin.

"Tomorrow I will meet withRussian President Vladimir Putin. I will be joined bythe Head the Mossad and the Head ofthe National Security Council. I will discuss withhim Iran's accelerated attempt toestablish a military presence inSyria. This attests, ofcourse, toIran's aggression, which has not lessened inthe wake ofthe nuclear agreement. This also presents a problem not only toIsrael, butrather toall the nations ofthe Middle East and the entire world," Netanyahu said asquoted bythe prime minister's office onTuesday.

On Tuesday, the Kremlin press service said that Putin would hold talks withNetanyahu inthe southern Russian city ofSochi onAugust 23 and discuss the Syrian issue, the fight againstinternational terrorism and the Palestinian-Israeli settlement.
