IRNA � Iranian ambassador to Singapore Javad Ansari Friday met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.


Hsien Loong appreciated Iran President Hassan Rouhani and First-Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri for their congratulatory messages on Singapore National Day.

President Rouhani in his message expressed hope for further development in bilateral, regional and international relations.

Meanwhile, Jahangiri extended hope for both countries to promote mutual cooperation in line with two countries' interests.

The National Day of Singapore is celebrated every year on August 9, in commemoration of the Singapore's independence from Malaysia in the year 1965. This holiday features a National Day Parade, an address by the Prime Minister of Singapore, and fireworks celebrations.
