IRNA - Head of Astara Veterinary Network Bahram Pour-Zarb said on Tuesday that 25 tons of cream cheese worth $100,000 has been exported from Astara Customs Office for Russia.


He told IRNA that the consignment had authorization of Mazandaran Province Veterinary Department and was exported by supervision of Astara Veterinary Network.

Pour-Zarb added 125 tons of creamy cheese has been exported this year from this border point to Russia.

Astara city with a population of 91,000 is located in far west of Gilan province and neighboring Azerbaijan Republic.
