EU emphasizes full implementation of nuclear deal

IRNA – High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini underscored complete implementation of Iran nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Mogherini made the remarks Monday on the sidelines of EU-ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference held in Manila, Philippines.

‘It is for me really a pleasure to be here today. Thank you also for the invitation. I am flying directly from Tehran where I was attending the inauguration of President [of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan] Rouhani and I was happy to hear from his words a commitment of himself and Iran to stick to the Iran nuclear deal which is, I think, a major element of security for both Europe and Asia and the global order in general,’ European External Action Service (EEAS) quoted Mogherini as saying.

During the meeting, she welcomed July 21 JCPOA Joint Commission Meeting assessment as regards full implementation of Iran deal by all parties.

The 8th JCPOA Joint Commission Meeting was held with the attendance of Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi, Deputy Secretary-General of European External Action Service (EEAS) Helga Schmid, and P5+1 deputy foreign ministers and managing directors on July 21 in Vienna.
