Daesh wives captured on camera by Iraqi police reveal details of their life

Sputnik - Wives of Daesh terrorists agreed to take part in a video interview conducted by Iraqi law-enforcement services. Sputnik received the exclusive footage from the Iraqi federal police.


The video depicts three women responding topolice questions aftertheir evacuation fromMosul.


The first woman said that she was forced tomarry a terrorist byher uncle, who is also a member ofDaesh. In this way, he hoped toget a promotion withinthe group, butlater was killed. The woman now has a one-year-old child; the fate ofher husband remains unknown.
Replying tothe police's questions, the woman said that she could not escape fromher husband, because he kept her captive inthe cellar formore thana year. After he found outthat she tried tocontact her relatives who serve inthe army, he threatened tokill her.


When the second woman was asked if she was married toa Daesh militant, she only nodded affirmatively. Later she said that her husband was killed. The father ofthe woman was also a Daesh member, he was also killed a couple ofdays ago.

The third woman was holding a small child onher hands duringthe interview. Her husband was killed duringan airstrike.

Commenting onthe women's statements, the head ofthe Iraqi federal police Shakir Jaudat told Sputnik that "women who agreed toanswer questions infront ofthe camera are innocent. If they were involved incommitting crimes, they would refuse todo so."

According toJaudat, the women's testimony will be used forfurther investigations.

Daesh terrorists are notorious fortheir atrocities againstcivilians and, especially,their cruel treatment ofwomen. Women are often used byDaesh militants asslaves and sometimes serve assnipers or work infinancial departments withinthe terrorist group.
