Sputnik News- US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said during testimony before a US House of Representatives committee on Tuesday that she has not seen any violations by Iran of the Joint Plan of Comprehensive Action (JCPOA) nuclear agreement.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) However, Haley noted that making the agreement withIran only delayed what will happen eventually, saying "They're going tocontinue their nuclear capabilities and we just gave them a lot ofmoney todo it with."
"In reference tothe JCPOA, were not seeing any sort ofviolations ofthat," Haley stated.
The 2015 nuclear agreement, signed betweenIran and the P5+1 group ofcountries the United States, Russia, China, France and the United Kingdom plus Germany stipulates the gradual lifting ofthe economic and diplomatic sanctions imposed onIran inexchange the peaceful nature ofthe country's nuclear program.
In May, the administration ofUS President Donald Trump has decided tostick withthe nuclear deal reached withIran byhis predecessor Barack Obama and extended the sanctions waiver.
