Iran and Turkey doubled linseed imports from Kazakhstan

UkrAgroConsult - Linseed exports from Kazakhstan totaled 18.6 KMT in April 2017, down 12% from the previous month and up more than 16% from April 2016.

Overall, linseed supplies to foreign markets hit a record 242.4 KMT in the first eight months of 2016/17 season. This was up 17% year-on-year (207 KMT exported in September-April 2015/16), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The European Union steps up linseed purchases from Kazakhstan. Its share in Kazakh exports reached 62%. Deliveries to Afghanistan increased to 52 KMT in the period under review that is already 73% more than exported there for the whole last.

In addition, Kazakh exporters managed to double linseed shipments to Iran and Turkey. Exports to Iran reached 8.6 KMT against 4.2 KMT in MY 2015/16, while those to Turkey totaled 10.2 KMT against 4.9 KMT last season.
