Rouhani: Terrorists tried to take revenge on Iran
IRNA President Hassan Rouhani said on Friday that terrorists tried to take revenge on the rule of democracy in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the funeral procession held at Majlis Friday morning for the victims of June 7 terrorist attacks in the Iranian capital, the President said when the great Iranian nation achieves a very significant success; the ill-wishers never lose a chance to strike them a blow.

The massive presence of people in the countrys presidential and municipal elections astound our ill-wishers while made our friends happy round the globe, President Rouhani said.

Since democracy abolishes terrorists thoughts and indicates that violence is not a solution and the only solution to resolve problems is the votes of people, then elections and polling stations have dealt a server blow to violence-seekers and terrorists, their supporters are looking for a chance to take revenge ignoring the fact that the Iranian people are very resistant and have experienced many of such incidents in their lives, Rouhani said.

Two terrorist groups attacked the mausoleum of the late Imam Khomenini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 17 people and injuring 52 others.

One of the attackers blew himself up outside Imam Khomeini shrine.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.

Iran's Intelligence Ministry declared that more terrorists involved in Tehran recent attacks have been identified and arrested.
