Iran stresses boosting economic relations with Azerbaijan

FNA- Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri underlined the need for increasing the volume of trade exchanges between Tehran and Baku.

"Judging by the serious will of the two countries' authorities, I am certain that there will be more and more expansion in bilateral relations," Jahangiri said in a message to

his Azerbijani counterpart Mehriban Aliyeva on Sunday.

The Iranian first vice president said that the two countries have abundant of capacities to further broaden their relations.

In relevant remarks in late March, Iranian Communications and Information Technology Minister Mahmoud Vaezi underlined that the relations between Tehran and Baku are outstandingly exemplary.

"Iran-Azerbaijan relations are role-model for the neighboring countries," Vaezi said.

The Iranian communications and information technology minister reiterated that the two countries are resolved to broaden their relations in the near future.

In relevant remarks in early April, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined that his country attaches much importance to the improvement of relations with the Caspian Sea littoral states, specially Azerbaijan.

The President lauded development of relations with Azerbaijan Republic, adding that the two states trade relations will grow in the coming years.

Establishment of joint Free Trade Zones with the Eurasian states has developed Irans ties with the countries, he added.

The President said that inking new agreements in field of export will develop Iran ties with the Eurasian countries.
