SHANA - Russia's Tatneft is examining opportunities to win a foothold in Iran's market, a Tatneft official said.

 

Rustam Sharapov told reporters at Iran Oil and Gas Show that the Russian company was examining cooperation with Iran's petroleum industry in "exploration, commodity procurement, oil field services and transfer of technology."
"We are just at the beginning of the road and we still hope that our activity would have mutual interests for us and our Iranian partners," he added.

"Our company is one of the largest oil producing companies in Russia and has reached the annual output of 28 million tonnes of oil," he said.
He added that Tatneft was very experienced in oil production and refining and associated technologies.
