IRNA -- Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan said Iran remains committed to sound implementation of the nuclear agreement, but in the meantime will seriously deal with any threat posed by the US or those who have surrendered to hegemonic powers.

Speaking at �Moscow International Security� meeting on Wednesday, he said Iran calls for restoration of stability in the region.

Some 700 participants from 80 countries have attended the two-day meeting,including a number of high-ranking military officials and army commanders.

The Iranian defense minister lauded the significant efforts of Moscow in hosting the international meeting, and said the meeting has created a suitable opportunity to mull global security and deal with the upcoming challenges.

The illegal interference of the western countries, the US in particular, has put the global peace at risk while at the same time creating a very complicated situation, he said.

These problems have roots in irresponsibility in deeds and words and unprecedented decisions made by the new US president, continued crisis in the Middle East region, failure in meeting the Palestinian nation's cause, triggering historical tension in the Korean subcontinent with the west, continued support for the terrorist groups by the US, the Zionist regime, Britain and Saudi Arabia and their efforts to maintain military balance of these groups with conflicting governments, increase and active presence of defeated terrorists in Iraq and Syria with other countries and increase in the number of terrorist activities in the region which all should be heeded.

�We are now witnessing a double-standard policy in dealing with terror and terrorists, but regretfully have to declare that legal international bodies, defenders and those leading the human rights issues only observe massacre of innocent women, men, waving panic, compulsory immigration, displacement and homelessness of people in the areas suffering conflicts as well as limits in shipment of humanitarian aid to those regions,� he said.

To add salt to the injury, the terrorists who are vandalizing the region and its people won supports of big powers, he said.

'The Americans try to introduce new doctrine dubbed �Commercializing Security� which is a new form of �Global Fascism� to stabilize their role internationally, General Dehghan said.

The policy will lead to creation of new threats and promoting phobia mainly with regards to Russia, China and Iran, he said.

The US seeks to justify its presence through establishment of new military bases to further interfere in various parts of the world mainly in Western Asia, Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia, borders in Eastern Europe, return to the cold war era, looting wealth of nations in those regions under the pretext to maintain security of the unified countries and this will result to restoration of peace and sustainable development in the world, the defense minister said.

Recent missile attacks on Syria were against all international legal rules and this should be examined, General Dehghan said.

All countries should share hands to help restore stability around the globe, he underlined.

To restore new order, it requires halt of warmongering strategies, US devastating interference, preventing supporting Britain, Saudi Arabia and other terrorists, admitting historical rights of Palestinian nation to return to occupied lands and creating grounds for them to make decision about their fates, protecting those seeking to restore peace, security and democracy around the world, he said.

Iran believes that the US and any other country will not be able to attain expansionism policies in the Middle East, north of Africa, and the subcontinent through backing war and terror and orchestrating terrorist organizations, General Dehghan said.

Iran believes that if military presence of terrorists in Syria and Iraq to be terminated, they will target their own supporters in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the US and Europe, he said.

The legal Syrian government will overcome terrorists and this will lead to a more secure and stable region and the world, General Dehghan added.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to support legal governments in Syria, Iraq and Yemen in their fight with Takfiri terrorist groups, he said.

There is no military solution to regional crisis and peaceful negotiations will be the final solution in putting an end to these crisis, Dehghan said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran who was among victims of chemical weapons for many years was under false accusations and suffered merciless sanctions and is opposed to proliferation of chemical weapons and is to remain committed to the implementation of the JCPOA, but will give crushing response to any threat, he said.

Peaceful use of nuclear energy is among legitimate rights of every nation and nobody can prevent them to attain such right but in the meantime Iran believes that a global determination should be formed for nuclear disarmament at least in the Middle East region, he said.

Zionist regime should be deprived of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and nuclear weapons, to help restore security of the region, he said.

The repeated and ridiculous expressions reading that �All options are on the table� cannot be used to get political and military concessions from other countries,but we believe that if the existing crisis in the subcontinent moves forward to military options, it will lead to destructive results in the world, he said.

The Iranian defense minister thanked Russia for hosting the international meeting and expressed the hope that it would help to take concrete steps to identify and broaden cooperation among world countries to achieve regional and global order, he said.
