Leader calls for halt to superfluous imports to avoid factories
IRNA Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Monday that unnecessary imports which have shut down factories should be halted.

Addressing a group of senior Iranian officials here on Monday, the Supreme Leader said there are a large number of ill-wishers who are determined to annihilate the Islamic system or make hollow from inside, adding, 'Any efforts to thwart their plots will be regarded as proximity to God almighty.'

In the Islamic system, all Islamic decrees and the Islamic life-style should be observed and the countrys culture should be identical to the Islamic teachings, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader advised the officials to pay due attention to this years motto which is 'Resitance Economy, Production and Employment'.

Banning imports does not mean import of necessary products, but the ones which shutdown our factories and productions, the Supreme Leader said.

All should know that in the absence of local production there will be no employment and this will bring unemployment accompanied with social harms such as addiction, corruption, social problems, and people's discontent from the Islamic system and government.
