Senior cleric: Enemy seeking to disintegrate regional countries

IRNA – Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami warned Iran’s neighbors about enemy’s plots to disintegrate regional countries.

Referring to rising efforts to fuel Iranophobia in the region, Ayatollah Khatami said that Iran will use its power to boost stability of its neighboring countries.

“Don’t you want to believe that the US and Western countries are seeking to disintegrate your countries?” he asked while addressing regional leaders.

“US Army chief of staff has openly said that Iraq has to be disintegrated similar to South and North Korea and Vietnam; Therefore they will be after disintegrating your country whenever they can.”

If Iran was not in the scene, Daesh had already formed governments in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, the Ayatollah said.

“Iran is your powerful brother and you have to be grateful of this brother,” Ayatollah Khatami added.

Tehran Friday prayers leader expressed doubt about Western plans to establish a no fly zone over Syria allegedly aiming to help the refugees, saying they are actually seeking to help the entrance of terrorists to Syria which he said is a prelude to disintegration of the country.
