February 5, The Iran Project – Director of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations says the Islamic Republic is the region’s safe watchtower.
In a meeting with a group of Asian and African countries ambassadors in Iran on Saturday on the occasion of the thirty-eighth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Kamal Kharrazi, director of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations said one of the most important aspects of Iran’s foreign policy is helping regional countries, so we have aided Syria and Iraq to defend their countries against invaders.
Iran’s measures to help regional countries are totally different from the measures of some countries that have led to the emergence of terrorist groups in the region, Kharrazi noted.
H also emphasized on the importance of Asian and African countries’ position in Iran’s foreign policy, adding but it does not mean that we do not pay attention to cooperate with other countries.
Palestinian ambassador to Iran, Salah Zawawi, for his part, congratulated the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, and stated that the victory of the Islamic Revolution changed the situation in the region as well as international relations.
Moreover, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour said in the meeting that Iran’s foreign policy is completely transparent, and based on the friendship of peoples and countries.
