JCPOA extends Iran-India relations

January 17, The Iran Project Irans nuclear deal with the world powers is an important document for the development of the countrys relations with India and the world, said an Indian senior official on Monday.

Speaking on the first anniversary of the implementation of the JCPOA between Tehran and world powers, Reshmi Kazi, Associate Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), in New Delhi stressed the role of JCPOA on the development of Iran-Indias relations in all areas.

Reshmi Kazi stated that Irans oil exports to India has been grown more than three fold since the nuclear deal came into forcea yearago.

Irans nuclear agreement paved the way for Irans extensive and powerful presence in the worlds markets, she noted, adding this will result in the countrys economic boom in the coming years.

Reshmiwent on to say that after the removal of international sanctions against Iran, Indian companies expressed their readiness to invest in Irans oil and gas, power, petrochemical and infrastructure.

She further referred to the Indian companies interest in investing in Iran'sFarzad B gas field, saying with their participation, we can see the development of Iran-India ties in various sectors, especially energy.

The Indian official also stated that nuclear agreement would bring peace and stability to the region and the world, adding Iran can be recognized a nuclear power in the Middle East by strong commitment to its undertakings under the deal.

Meanwhile, she slammed Obamas extending national emergency against Iran, and said US must know that impeding nuclear deal will rise tensions in the region and the world, as well.
