FNA- Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazzayeri underlined that Tehran will continue advancement and progress in its military industries as long as enemies threaten the country.

"We dont have no way out but to reinvigorate our defense power as long as evil states threaten the Islamic Republic of Iran," General Jazzayeri said on Monday.

Referring to the 2015 nuclear talks and agreement between Iran and the world powers, he said, "There is no connection between the nuclear deal and the country's defense affairs; principally, defense issues had no place in the nuclear negotiations."

His remarks came after Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salamiunderlined that Iran has developed its missile power during the two decades of the western-imposed sanctions in a bid to boost its deterrence power.

"The missile might of the Islamic Republic of Iran became mature over decades of sanctions; now it is a deterrence power that the enemies have come realize it," General Salami said.

He reiterated that the deterrence power is to psychologically influence the enemy, and said, "Iran's missile power has exactly envisaged such picture for Iran's enemies."

General Salami, meantime, said that the US started interfering in Syria as a first stage in a chain of successive inroads in the Middle East, with its sights set on the Islamic Republic as the final destination.

"The first step in a scenario meant to circumscribe Irans regional influence by gradually approaching its borders and entangling the country in a crisis at home," he added.

General Salami further pointed to the defeats of foreign-backed militants in Syrias strategic Northern city of Aleppo, and said, "The US and its allies failed in the initial phase of the scenario aimed undermining Iran as a regional player.
