Iran, Turkey good ties will ensure regional peace, stability

IRNA Chairman of Turkish Felicity Party (SP) Temel Karamollaoglu described Iran-Turkey ties as very valuable, saying that their good relations will guarantee regional and global peace and security.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian-Fard in Iran's Embassy on Tuesday.

He further noted that Iran-Turkey friendship is not limited to recent era and dates back to 400 year ago.

'The region we live in was the scene of clashes over the past 100 years, but Iran and Turkey have always lived together peacefully and their countries' borders were always epitome of longstanding friendship between the two countries,' he said.

Iran and Turkey shoulder major duty to help restore the regional and global peace and stability and the two countries' friendship will ensure regional peace, he said.

Noting some are seeking to disturb the friendship, he said that Ankara government is sensitive toward the issue.

Taherian-Fard, for his part, said that the two nations always stand by each other in hard conditions.

When the two sides have different interpretations about the issues, best solution is direct dialogue and fortunately, consultations are currently underway in the best manner, he said.

Evidence has it that the two countries have entered a stage where they can solve all their issues through dialogue, the envoy said.
