Zarif departs Tokyo for Tehran

IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at the end of his tour of three countries of India, China and Japan departed Tokyo for Tehran on Thursday evening.


Zarif arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday evening.

During his 2-day stay in Japan, he met with the President of Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) Hiroyuki Ishige, Deputy Foreign Minister for parliamentary affairs Kentaro Sonoura and Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and delivered speech in Iran-Japan trade conference.

He attended a working breakfast with members of parliamentary friendship group of ruling Liberal Democrat Party there.

In meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the two sides discussed the latest regional and international situations and talked about issues of mutual interests.

Zarif also met with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Hiroshige Seko, attend economic activists seminar, met with Iranians residing in Japan and delivered a speech in the gathering of experts from GIIA.
