"I am positive with oil freeze talks"

Shana Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh says he is positive with oil freeze.

"I am not pessimistic with talks in the (OPEC) meeting," Zanganeh told reporters when asked by reporters whether the OPEC November 30 Vienna session should be regarded as the deadline for decision on the production cut by the members.

Zangahe gave the interview to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony to sign an agreement in principle for development of the phase 11 of South Pars gas field, shared with Qatar.

Iranian Petropars company, Chinese CNPC and French Total will undertake the $4.8 billion project.

To a question what did he expect of the result regarding contradictory claims on oil freeze, Zanganeh said, "It cannot be solved by interview; talks should be held in that regard."

Also asked about likelihood of non-enforcement of the oil freeze project, Zangahe said, "Let's wait. I think positively."
