IRNA � Iran's ambassador to London has announced that there is no European anti-Iran sanction in effect.

Hamid Baeedinejad said Iran assures that all financial, banking and economic sanctions that had been imposed by the European Union on Iran have been lifted.

The restrictions on relations with Iran are only related to the US early sanctions and ban on cooperation with certain companies whose names have been mentioned in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Baeedinejad said, while addressing the Iran-Britain trade conference in London.

Referring to considerable trade capacities that Iran and Europe can use to develop cooperation, Baeedinejad described continuation of banking hindrances and misunderstanding about the situation of lifting of anti-Iran sanctions as the major obstacles on the way of banking cooperation.

Despite the restrictions in the past years and decrease in the oil price, the Iranian government with the help of a dynamic economy based on capitals and resources inside the country could witness an economic growth from -4.5 to +5, the ambassador stressed.

Also, he added, Iran is in a good security condition.

He further noted that Iran welcomes expansion of international economic cooperation and (foreign) investment.

Among the important issues being mentioned in the JCPOA is to turn back to the conditions of the pre-nuclear sanctions era, said Baeedinejad, adding the issue has been accepted by the US.

Iran and the six world powers, the US, the UK, France, Russia, China and Germany, reached a landmark nuclear agreement known as the JCPOA on July 15, 2015.

'Implementation Day' of the deal was announced in January, 2016, as the anti-Iran sanctions were lifted after Iran's peaceful nuclear program was verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
