President: Iranophobia propaganda proved 'baseless'

Tehran, Sept 26, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani has said Iran after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) proved that the propaganda made by certain world countries against Iran is unfounded.

All propaganda that was spread out to make others afraid of Iran and of its peaceful technologies and defense capability was proved baseless, President Rouhani made the remarks on Monday.

Addressing a ceremony to mark the World Tourism Day on September 27, Rouhani said the Iranian government has largely invested on ensuring country's security.

One of the important outcomes that the JCPOA brought was fight against Iranophobia, he stressed.

Iran and the six world powers reached a landmark nuclear agreement on July 14, 2015. Anti-Iran sanctions were lifted on January 16, 2016.

The governments which encouraged their people not to travel to Iran in the past, now suggest that they fly to Iran where they have described as a safe country, Rouhani said.
