Moscow insists on publication of Russia-US ceasefire agreement

MOSCOW, Sep. 15 (MNA) Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zakharova voiced concern during a weekly press briefing in Moscow about "completely contradictory statements despite the positive and constructive [agreement] reached just a week ago."


The US believes that the process ofcessation ofhostilities inSyria is a test;Moscow deems statements made bythe United States onRussias unwillingness torespect the latest ceasefire agreement inSyria asillogical and counterproductive, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
"We ofcourse believe that such statements are illogical and counterproductive," ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters ata weekly press briefing.

"We fully understand the nature ofthese statements, butthey are not going tobenefit the cause. There should be constructive work. We have an example ofsuch work, we know when the US is able towork when wants towork. Therefore, responsible work forthe implementation ofthe agreements reached should replace these statements," she stressed. Moscow insists onpublication ofthe Russia-US ceasfire agreement inSyria toavoid speculation and incorrect iterpretation, she added. The decision onpublication, however, should be made jointli withWashington.
