Managua, Aug 23, IRNA � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined his country�s preparedness to help Nicaragua build a canal in the ocean.


�Representatives of different economic sectors, including private and government companies, are accompanying us in this tour of Latin America and they can take part in different construction projects, including construction of tunnel in the ocean,� Zarif told reporters on Tuesday.

He also said that the two countries can cooperate in the fields of industry, mining, agriculture and foodstuff, advances sciences, nanotechnology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, banking and exports guarantee.

Zarif said that the main purpose for accompaniment of Iranian companies in Nicaragua is the broadening of ties with Nicaragua.

�The people of Iran and Nicaragua are known in the world for their revolutions and resistance against the pressures from outside,� he added.

�I hope that Tehran and Managua would be able to enhance their economic relations in addition to their diplomatic ties,� Zarif said.
