Spokesman holds Britain accountable for Saudi massacre in Yemen

Tehran, Aug 11, IRNA Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi rejected claims by a British official on Iran's role in Yemen crisis, saying that London as one of the two main suppliers of arms for the child-killing alliance should be responsible to the world public opinion.

Qasemi made the remarks while responding to recent comments made by a British deputy foreign minister for Middle East affairs who had claimed he felt concerns about Iran's so-called part in Yemen crisis.

Ruling out the allegations, Qasemi said that instead of raising such an unfounded claim which is based on baseless reports, the British official is better to be accountable for the inhumane behavior of the widespread use of British weapons in the massacre of Yemeni civilians including innocent women and children and respond to the questions raised by the representatives of Britain's Lower House about that.

British officials should answer the question why they still continue their inhumane and profiteering policy of supplying arms for the attackers on the impoverished country, despite European Parliament's resolution which bans arms sales to Saudi Arabia, Qasemi added.
