$5.679bn worth petchem products exported in 1st 4 months

TEHRAN, July 28 (Shana) In the first four months of this Iranian calendar year of 1395 (started on March 20), 13,438,000 tons of petrochemical products, worth $5.679 billion, were exported.

Based on latest statistics, released by Customs Communications and Information Technology Bureau made available to Shana, petrochemical items, weighing 13,438,000 tons and worth $5.679 billion, accounted for majority of the exported items in the period.

The report also said export of non-oil commodities rose considerably to more than 16 billion dollars in value, showing 21 percent increase compared to the figure in the match period the previous year.

The report said in the first four months of this year, 41,161,000 tons of goods, worth $16.308 billion, goods were exported, showing increases of 36.37 and 21.11 percent in weight and value respectively.

In the period, 9,958,000 tons of goods, worth $12.865 billion, were imported, showing decreases of 12.79 and 7.12 percent in weight and value respectively.

China, the UAE, South Korea, Turkey and India were the main destinations for the Iranian commodities in the period.
