Israel, Saudis in cahoots to harm Iran: Ex-Syrian minister

TEHRAN (Tasnim) A former Syrian minister of information highlighted an extensive partnership between Saudi Arabia and Israel, saying the two regimes are engaged in close intelligence cooperation against Iran and its allies in the axis of resistance.

The Zionist regime of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the US have been developing intelligence cooperation to support terrorism in the face of Iran, Syria and other resisting nations, Mahdi Dakhlallah told the Tasnim News Agency.

Dakhlallah, also a former Syrian ambassador to Riyadh, said any act of terrorism against Iran would be definitely coordinated by Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The relations between Saudis and Israelis are now crystal clear, he added, saying that it is now up to the public opinion in the Arab world, particularly in the Saudi nation, to decide how to deal with this fact.

The comments came after revelation of a visit to Israel by a former Saudi military general.

The Tel Aviv regime said on Sunday that top Israeli official Dore Gold has met with Anwar Eshki, a former military general from Saudi Arabia, in al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Eshki currently heads a Saudi think tank in Jeddah but is believed to have close ties with the kingdoms rulers. Official government permission was likely necessary for him to make such an overt visit.
