Non-oil exports' value from Fars prov. up 54.8% in 3 months

Shiraz, Fars prov., July 23, IRNA - Chairman of the Foreign Trade Department of Fars Industry, Mine and Trade Organization said that the value of non-oil exports grew by 54.8% in the first quarter of current Iranian year (beginning on March 20) compared to previous year.


Reza Sadati told IRNA on Saturday that the value of non-oil exports from Fars Customs was $38,500,000 in the first season of the previous Iranian calendar year which reached $59,577,000 in the current Iranian year.

He reiterated that non-oil exports weighed 135,096 tons in the first quarter of previous Iranian year and having 66% growth, it reached 225,084 tons in the current Iranian year.

He said that the statistics is related to exporting industrial and agricultural products, hand-woven carpet, artifacts and mineral products.

He said that over 133,061 tons of products have been exported from Fars Customs in the first season of the previous Iranian year which reached 220,672 tons having 65.8% growth in the current Iranian year.

He added that the exported products was $35,072,000 worth in the last Iranian year which reached $55,074,000 showing 59% rise.

On agricultural exports, he said that 892 tons agricultural products were exported in the last Iranian year which reached 1,051 tons in the current Iranian year showing 17.8%.

Regarding carpet and artifacts exports, he added that the value of exported hand-woven carpets and artifacts was $96,000 in the last Iranian year which reached $141,000 in the current Iranian year showing 46.4% rise.
