Tehran, June 29, IRNA � On the eve of Quds day (the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan), Experts Assembly issued a statement on Wednesday calling for high turnout of the Iranian nation in the Quds Day rallies.

In its statement, the Experts Assembly denounced the crimes perpetrated by the Saudi Household and al-Khalifa Household, calling on the fasting Iranian nation to rush to streets to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and vent anger at the global arrogance.

'Quds Day is a global day. It's not limited to Quds. Rather it is the day of the fight of those impoverished with the global arrogance,' the statement read.

Quds Day is reminder of an initiative by the late founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini and represents the power of the Islamic Ummah in supporting the oppressed nations, particularly the Palestinian nation, the statement added.
