Tehran, Seoul to ink $20b deals

TEHRAN, May 01 (Shana) - South Korea's Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kang Hoin said Iran and South Korea are to sign deals that are worth more than 20 billion dollars.

The Korean official met with Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh in his Tehran office.

He said Iran abounds with cooperation opportunities and Seoul is determined to tap these opportunities and as well as the Iranian market in levels higher than before.

He underlined Iran's 80 million population and exquisite geographic situation which links Asia with Europe.
"South Korea is aware of this situation and intends to enjoy it for boosting cooperation with Iran," the visiting Korean official said.

Korean President Park Geun-hye is to visit Tehran on Monday.
