Lavrov confirms Putin's visit to china planned for June

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit China in June 2016, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has confirmed.





BEIJING (Sputnik) On November 30, 2015, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed tohold regular meetings tocoordinate their stances onglobal events intodays fast-paced world.

Putin is expected tovisit the Chinese capital inJune.
"We paid special attention, including inthe course ofyesterdays meeting withPresident ofthe People's Republic ofChina Xi Jinping, the preparation ofthe next summit, [and] President Putin's visit toChina inJune ofthis year," Lavrov said onFriday, aftermeeting withhis Chinese counterpart Wang Yi inBeijing.


Lavrov Discusses Putins Upcoming Visit toBeijing With Chinese Foreign Minister

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is meeting withhis Chinese counterpart Wang Yi inBeijing, discussing the upcoming visit ofRussian President Vladimir Putin toChina.
"We are convinced that a full expansion ofcooperation betweenRussia and China is not only inthe interests ofour countries, butalso solves the issue ofmore stable international politics," Lavrov said.


Russia, China Agree toCoordinate Positions onSyria, Iran


Russia and China have agreed tocoordinate their positions ona range ofinternational issues, including Syria, Iran and Libya, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said aftera meeting withhis Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
"We also agreed tocontinue tocoordinate positions onall the issues ofour international agenda, including cooperation inthe UN Security Council onsuch topical issues ofworld politics asSyria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya," Lavrov told reporters onFriday.


The Russian foreign minister invited Wang Yi tovisit Russia.
