Poland stresses boosting financial transactions with Iran 10 fold

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Polish Deputy Minister of Development Radoslaw Domagalsk stressed boosting the volume of financial transactions between Iran and Poland 10 fold.

Poland has always sought expanding ties with Iran and we have had good ties with Iran even during years of sanctions, he said in a joint economic forum between Iran and Poland in Khorasan Razawi Province, northeastern Iran.

Poland and Iran held their first joint economic forum in the province in January. The volume of trade between the two countries totaled $75 million in 2014.

Grounds have been provided for boosting bilateral ties after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said, as calling for boosting the volume of financial transactions between Iran and Poland 10 fold.

He said that Iranian market with diverse fields is an attractive market for Poland, and Poland has facilitated conditions for presence of Iranian traders as well.

During the meeting, governor of Khorasan Razawi Province Alireza Rashidian called for formation of a joint economic commission between the two countries, and said Poland and the Iranian province are of numerous potentials for participation and mutual cooperation.

Rashidian said that lifting sanctions against Iran could pave the way for economic interactions with foreign investors.

The polish delegation includes 70 economic managers, traders and businessmen who entered in Iran in a bid to expand economic ties with the country
