Tehran, January 13, The Iran Project - Deputy Head of Iran�s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO)�says that Iran is the best travel destination for Russian tourists.

Speaking to a reporter on Wednesday, deputy head of Iran�s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), Morteza Rahmani Movahed said that having access to warm waters, enjoying warm and temperate climate, historical sites and certain national commodities, Iran is the best travel destination for the Russian tourists.

ICHTO deputy head stated that Russia is one of the countries of Iran�s target market, referring to geographical and political closeness of the two countries.

"Travelling is one of the important social and recreational activities of the Russian people, and they not only know Persia well, but tend to learn more about Iran", Rahmani Movahed added.

He also said that Russia has a large Muslim community who are interested in becoming more familiar with Iran�s religious places and people.

Stressing on the development of Iran-Russia transportation, he announced that Mahan airline will launch direct flights to Moscow in the near future.
