TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) � The ninth edition of the International Chemical Engineering Congress and Exhibition will be held at University of Shiraz in collaboration with the AEOI and Ministry of Industry.

Since the establishment of the Iranian Association of Chemical Engineers (IAChE) in 1990, 15 annual national and 8 international congresses of chemical engineering have been the major forum for Iranian and international chemical engineers and scientists to present and exchange their research papers..

This year, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade will hold the ninth edition of the International Chemical Engineering Congress and Exhibition at the University of Shiraz.

The number of papers presented at these congresses has been steadily increasing each year. In this year�s edition, 610 papers had been submitted to the secretariat of the Congress, 60 of which will be delivered orally at the panel and 420 papers will be presented in a poster format. The congresses cover vast areas of chemical engineering science and practice including specialized workshops and industrial researches.

The aim of this congress is to provide a forum for the Iranian and international researchers in all disciplines of chemical engineering from academia and industries to present their scientific findings and exchange their ideas of recent advances. It is also the objective of this congress to assess the educational and research needs of the chemical engineering society considering the rapidly changing technological advancement that is evolving around the globe.

The main themes for the congress will include both the traditional chemical engineering discipline and the newly developed multidisciplinary areas including: Transport Phenomena, Thermodynamics, Modeling and�Simulation, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Polymer Science and Technology, Environmental Engineering, and Renewable Energy among other topics.

The ninth International Chemical Engineering Congress and Exhibition will take place on 26-28 Dec. 2015 in Shiraz, Iran.
