Frances wrong policies drew terrorism to Paris: Analyst
TEHRAN (Tasnim) A senior political analyst underlined that the French governments wrong policies and double standards on the fight against terrorism in the Middle East drew the phenomenon to the Western European country.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday, Anis Naqash, a Lebanese expert on the Middle East, pointed to the recent terrorist attacks in the French capital that killed some 130 people, saying they were the outcome of Frances double standards on dealing with terrorism.

He further emphasized that the French government made a mistake when it fueled the violence in Syria and overlooked the fact that the world has turned into a small village in which violence can spread from one country to others.

Unfortunately, Frances policies (toward Syria) have been wrong since the beginning (of the Syrian crisis), he said, adding that Paris fueled the crisis in the Arab country but did not know that the violence would finally plague itself.

Late on Friday, a string of coordinated attacks in and around the French capital left at least 129 people dead and some 200 others injured.

A state of emergency has been declared in the European country shaken by the horrific attacks.

The West and its regional allies have been blamed for supporting the militants operating inside Syria for more than four years.

According to the United Nations, more than 250,000 people have been killed and one million wounded in the conflicts in Syria.
