German foreign minister to visit Iran mid October

TEHRAN (ISNA)- German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier would arrive in Iran on October 17 for a two-day visit.

His travel to Iran comes as three large German economic delegations have visited Iran after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and P5+1, expressing their readiness for boosting investment in Iran after lifting sanctions.

German has always been one of Irans key European economic partners.

Iranian Ambassador to Germany Ali Majedi has already said that Germany is willing to increase the volume of bilateral trade exchanges with Iran to $6 billion.

German economic activists have held different sessions in Germany on boosting economic exchanges between the two countries.

Germany is willing to take part in Irans auto industry market.

The two countries are expected to hold a joint economic commission in Tehran in coming months.
