US Chevron reviewing Iran nuke deal, co-op opportunities
Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA -- The US giant oil company Chevron is still studying possible advantages which the Iran-P5+1 nuclear deal can provide to the company, Erika Conner, External Affairs Advisor for Gas and Midstream at Chevron told Trend on September 1.

Chevron is continuing to review the agreement to fully understand its implications for the energy industry and the company, Conner said.
She added that the company remains in strict compliance with existing US and international laws and regulatory frameworks that govern commercial activity with Iran.
The Islamic Republic and the P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) achieved a final accord last month, curbing Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions.
Following the deal, Irans former trade partners have started dispatching delegations to Tehran to study cooperation in post-sanctions period.
During the last week visit of Thembisile Majola, the South Africas deputy energy minister to Tehran it was announced that Pretoria would negotiate with the US Chevron on resuming oil import in post-sanctions period.
The two parties have agreed that the South African energy ministry talk with Chevron, which is shareholder of one of the giant refineries in the African country, about resuming crude imports from Iran.
South Africa was one of Iran 's traditional oil markets before the sanctions were imposed on the Islamic Republic due to its disputed nuclear program.
Last month before the sanctions cut down Irans crude oil exports (June 2012), South Africa was buying averagely 68,000 barrels of oil from Tehran per day.
