Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA - Enemies are not able to realize their dream for eliminating axis of resistance in the region including Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati said on Tuesday.

Speaking among police commanders, he said it is surprising that certain states accuse Syria of not having democracy but they themselves lack any sign of democracy.
Velayati referred to Iran's defensive capabilities, adding that Iran will continue its progress forward as an influential regional power.

Speaking about the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, he noted that nuclear deal is the result of 12 years of Iranian nation's resistance.
Velayati pointed to the spread of terrorism in the region and Iran's neighboring countries, adding that due to the police efforts, the borders are under full control and in peace.
