Najaf, Iraq, July 27, IRNA � Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday met with four senior religious leaders in Iraqi city of Najaf.

Zarif met with Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani, Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Saeed Hakim, Sheikh Es-haq Fayyaz and Sheikh Bashir Najafi respectively.

IRNA reporter said that the senior religious leaders expressed pleasure with the nuclear agreement between Iran and the western governments.

Zarif departed Najaf for Baghdad to meet with senior Iraqi government officials.

He is due to meet with his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al-Jaafari, President Fuad Ma'sum, Premier Haider al-Abadi, Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri and Head of Islamic Supreme Council Seyed Ammar al-Hakim in the afternoon.
