TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have produced an industrial cover with high resistance which boosts life of oil installations against corrosion and fire.

�A research project developed based on a five-year plan on nano-cover systems was executed,� said Homeira Shariaat-Panahi, Head of Cover Research Department of Iranian Oil Industry Research Center.

The covers are resistant against corrosion and fire. �Moreover, several other large projects on gas refinery covering systems have been executed so far.�

The covering systems are made of several layers of dye, but their combination protects the installations against sunlight, fungi, mold and corrosion.

Plans executed by the department rise life of industrial covers and protection factor of industrial units installations.

The covers are made of clay, polyaniline, graphern and carbon black nano-particles.
