Iran navy commander visits Int'l maritime defense exhibit in Moscow

Moscow, July 2, IRNA Iran's Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari heading a high ranking delegation visited International Maritime Defense Exhibition in Moscow.

The International Maritime Defense Exhibition is held biennially in city of Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Technical Commander of Navy Rear-Admiral Abbas Zamini, who was a member of delegation, called the exhibition as a good opportunity to get acquainted with new military technologies in the field of maritime.
He said that the Navy needs regular updating equipment in terms of hardware and software.
Meanwhile, the first meeting of Navy commanders of the Caspian Sea littoral states will be held in Saint Petersburg upon a proposal from Iran simultaneous with the defense exhibit.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Navy commanders of littoral states of Caspian Sea are to discuss security issues of the sea.
Rear-Admiral Sayyari of Iran will discuss issues of mutual interests with his counterparts from Russia and several other regional states.
