Zarif resumes talks with his US counterpart
Vienna, June 30, IRNA - Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad-Javad Zarif resumed talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday.

Zarif met with Kerry at the Palais Coburg Hotel immediately after arrival.

Iranian and US foreign ministers held their last round of talks on Sunday evening. Zarif is scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then to visit The International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Yukiya Amano this afternoon. Zarif arrived here Tuesday to continue nuclear talks.

Iranian foreign minister left the Austrian capital late on Sunday, but his deputies Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi stayed here to continue talks on writing the text of the comprehensive agreement.

In the absence of Zarif, the Iranian negotiators held four rounds of talks with European Union deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmidt on Monday. The US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman was present in one round of those talks.

Iran, the European Union and representatives of the P5+1 have been holding intensive nuclear talks to reach a final agreement on Iran's nuclear issue. Both sides are to find a solution for a nuclear dispute that goes back to over a decade.

Top nuclear negotiators of both sides are to resume talks today in the Austrian capital. The two have set June 30th as deadline for nuclear talks.
