No oil commitment by world powers

TEHRAN June 08(Shana)--Irans petroleum minister Bijan Zangeneh said that six globiran talkal powers have had no commitment about facilitating Tehrans oil sale.

In the Geneva talks [in 2013], there was no subject about facilitating Irans oil selling, Zangeneh said.

He also said that he held fruitful talks with managers of European oil companies in Vienna where he travelled to attend the ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

I met with the CEOs of big European oil companies. They expressed interest in returning [to Iran] for active presence in Irans market, said Zangeneh.
He said that all foreign companies said they would officially start negotiations with Iran after sanctions are lifted.

Zangeneh said he outlined the Iran Petroleum Contract (IPC) to European oil managers.

IPC is the new model of contracts, designed to replace buybacks which are no longer attractive to foreign firms.

Zangeneh also dismissed rumors about further hike in gasoline price in coming months.

Last month, the Iranian government scrapped subsidized gasoline rationing system to unify the petrol and gasoil prices.

Each liter of regular gasoline sells at IRR 10,000 and each liter of premium gasoline at IRR 12,000.

Each dollar is traded for nearly IRR 29,000 officially and for around IRR 33,000 on open market.

Gasoil also sells at IRR 3,000 a liter and kerosene at IRR 1,500 a liter and liquefied gas at IRR 2,300 per kilogram.

Jet fuel price soared to IRR 6,000 a liter while compressed natural gas (CNG) is charged at IRR 4,000 per cubic meter.
