IAEA reports disprove Ahmadinejads office claims: Iran FM

Tehran, May 27, The Iran Project Irans Foreign Ministry issued a statement last night, saying that IAEAs official reports prove the claims ofAhmadinejads office false,Farhikhteghan newspaper reportedon Wednesday.

In response to the remarks ofAhmadinejads office that the former government did not allow IAEAs inspectors to interview nuclear scientists,Irans Foreign Ministry issued a statementon Tuesdaynight, referring the office to available national documents as well as reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to see that Zarifs remarks were true.


The Foreign Ministry has said that dissemination of lies attributed to Zarif by the office of former President Ahmadinejad is actionable.

A short search on the site of IAEA provides the documents showing that the agencys inspectors interviewed Iranian nuclear scientists Ahamdinejad's era, dailyFarhikhteghan said.

In a statement issuedon Tuesday, Ahmadinejads office accused Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif of spreading lies and called his remark, a sheer lie.

This came after FM Zarif said in an interview that the previous government had allowed Iranian nuclear scientists to be interviewed.
